Lakshadweep Tour Packages: Official Options Guide

A Lakshadweep package is useful only if it joins the complete trip together. The package name alone does not tell you whether mainland transport, island transfer, accommodation, meals, permit support and activities are included.

Start with current status

The Lakshadweep Administration describes several tourism products. The SPORTS portal is the booking source linked by the Administration, but a package description is not the same as live inventory.

The SPORTS notice checked on 20 August 2026 says the Lakshadweep Samudram package will not be available until further directions because of ongoing ship maintenance and incomplete dry-docking. Do not treat an old Samudram date, itinerary or tariff as bookable while that notice remains in place.

The Administration page can preserve a package name after inventory changes. Use it to understand the product, then use the current SPORTS portal or written official confirmation to establish what can actually be booked.

Match the package to the transport chain

There are two broad structures:

Ship-based package

The package uses the ship for overnight accommodation and includes daytime island visits. This is not the same as buying a passenger ticket and arranging an independent stay.

Flight-linked island stay

The mainland flight reaches Agatti. If the selected stay is on another island, the onward sector must also be confirmed. A flight ticket to Agatti does not prove that the complete island transfer is available.

Compare quotations on the same basis

Ask each seller to state:

• exact travel dates and final island;
• mainland departure and return points;
• every flight, ship and island-transfer sector;
• accommodation name, room type, occupancy and number of nights;
• meals and drinking water included;
• permit support and official charges;
• activities included and those charged separately;
• taxes, payment charges and compulsory additions;
• cancellation, rescheduling and disruption terms.

A practical selection order

1. Decide whether you want a ship-based package or an island stay.
2. Check the official portal for current status and inventory.
3. Confirm the final island and complete transport chain.
4. Match the permit, accommodation and transport dates.
5. Compare written inclusions, not only the headline price.
6. Read cancellation and disruption terms before paying.

If one part of the chain is missing, the package is not yet a complete trip.
