The useful way to choose things to do in Lakshadweep is to start with the island you can actually reach and stay on. A long activity list is not a bookable plan unless the permit, transport, accommodation and provider all match.

What official sources currently describe

The Lakshadweep Administration’s Adventures page names kayaks, canoes, pedal boats, sailing boats, windsurfing, snorkel sets and glass-bottom boats on islands included in tourism packages. It also identifies scuba-diving facilities and deep-sea fishing.

These are official descriptions of tourism activities. They do not establish a live island-wide inventory, a price, a timetable or suitability for a particular traveller.

3. which permit and package cover the island;
4. whether the named provider operates the activity on the required date;
5. how the return sector is protected.

The best-island guide helps with the route and stay decision. Do not add an island only for an activity until every transfer is confirmed.

Separate package inclusion from standalone booking

Some official package descriptions mention activities during island visits. That does not prove that the activity is included without extra payment, available to every passenger or operating on every departure.

Ask the package provider to mark each item as:

• included for every traveller;
• included only for eligible participants;
• optional and separately charged;
• subject to availability;
• or not offered on the selected departure.

The SPORTS homepage currently says Samudram is unavailable until further directions. Do not use its activity description as proof of a bookable cruise.

Check participation rules

Ask the named provider for the current age, swimming, certification, health and supervision requirements. Apply the answer only to that product.

SPORTS currently states that its scuba-diving course requires swimming skills, a doctor’s fitness certificate and a minimum age of 14. This does not establish the rules for snorkelling, boating, kayaking or a different scuba product.

Families can use the with-children guide. Travellers who are not comfortable in water can use the non-swimmer guide.

Compare written quotations

For every paid activity, request:

• exact island, provider and date;
• activity format and route;
• participant requirements;
• included equipment;
• guide or supervision arrangement;
• boat transfer, if any;
• total charge and compulsory additions;
• cancellation, refund or replacement terms;
• what happens when operating conditions change.

Do not copy a price from an old blog, package page or rate card into the trip budget. Add only the current written quotation to the trip-budget worksheet.

Do not book around wildlife promises

Official pages describe marine life and reefs, but a tourism booking cannot guarantee a sighting, visibility or reef condition for a particular day. Treat wildlife as unguaranteed and do not pay a premium based only on a species promise.

Build a realistic activity plan

One confirmed activity with clear participation and cancellation terms is more useful than several assumed inclusions. Keep flexible time in the itinerary because the official sources do not publish a guaranteed daily activity schedule.
