Reconfirm before booking. This is a planning framework, not a live package. Add an island, transfer or activity only after it is confirmed for every traveller and date.
This five-day Lakshadweep family itinerary is a booking framework. It does not promise that a flight, ship, island transfer, room or activity is available. Replace the placeholders only with sectors confirmed for the same family names and dates.

Before assigning an island
Choose the island base only when you have written confirmation for:
- mainland-to-Lakshadweep transport;
- arrival pickup;
- onward island transfer, if required;
- accommodation for all four nights;
- return transfer and mainland sector;
- permit support for the same islands and dates.
The Administration identifies Kochi as the gateway and Agatti as the island with the airstrip, but its How to Reach page is not a live schedule. Do not use a general route description as proof of a bookable sector.
Why the framework uses one base
The official sources reviewed do not establish a dependable tourist timetable for adding arbitrary inter-island transfers. One confirmed base reduces the number of sectors that can break the itinerary.
If a provider offers a second island, add it only when the outbound and return sectors, passenger names, baggage terms and disruption policy are written into the booking.
Day 1: complete the journey
Use only the confirmed sectors. On arrival, check that the room category, bedding and meal plan match the quotation. Save the local provider and relevant official medical-facility contact.
Do not plan a paid activity for an assumed arrival time.
Day 2: one confirmed activity
Ask the provider to reconfirm the activity’s minimum age, swimming rule, equipment, supervision, health requirements and cancellation terms. If one family member cannot join, check whether the inclusion is refundable or replaceable.
An official tourism page mentioning an activity is not evidence that it operates for your family on that date.
Day 3: keep options local
Use another confirmed local activity or leave the period flexible. Avoid turning free time into an unverified island hop.
For meals, check the day’s actual arrangement instead of assuming every stay or package uses the same menu. Use the food guide when the family has dietary requirements.
Day 4: protect the last night
Keep the family on the booked base unless a same-day excursion has a confirmed return. Recheck the next day’s pickup, transfer, departure and mainland connection.
Every traveller’s name should match the transport booking and permit. Save the latest messages offline with the booking documents.
Day 5: follow the return chain
Leave according to the confirmed pickup and departure instructions. Do not publish or rely on a copied departure time that may change.
If the return involves more than one supplier, keep each booking reference and contact separately.
What to book around this framework
Use the family-trip guide to build the complete chain, the with-children guide for age-specific checks and the family-package guide for bundled quotations.
Use the medical guide to find the Administration’s current facility directory. A directory listing does not prove a specific capability, so confirm any required care directly.
What this itinerary deliberately omits
There are no invented fares, activity prices, flight times, boat times or guaranteed wildlife encounters. It also does not prescribe a best family island. Those details should enter the plan only when current sources and written booking evidence support them.

Common questions
Which island does this family itinerary use?
It does not prescribe an island. Choose one only after confirming the full arrival, stay, permit and return chain for the family's dates.
Does the itinerary include island hopping?
No transfer is assumed. Add a day visit or second island only when both directions and every traveller are confirmed in writing.
Are activities guaranteed each day?
No. The framework assigns confirmation and flexible time. Use only activities with current age, swimming, equipment, supervision and cancellation rules from the named provider.
