Lakshadweep Ship Classes: Cabins and Seating Guide

Compare the Lakshadweep passenger-ship classes described by the Administration. Confirm the vessel, berth or seat and exact class before booking.

The Lakshadweep Administration describes three broad passenger-ship accommodation formats:

  • A/C First Class with two-berth cabins
  • A/C Second Class with four-berth cabins
  • Push-back or bunk-class air-conditioned seating

The class available to book depends on the actual vessel and sailing. A class mentioned on the Administration’s general information page is not a promise that it will appear for every route or date.

A/C First Class

The official page describes this as a two-berth cabin.

Before selecting it, check whether the booking result confirms a cabin, how passengers are assigned and what the ticket says about occupancy. This guide does not infer cabin size, bathroom arrangement or other facilities that the source does not specify.

A/C Second Class

The official description is a four-berth cabin.

Confirm whether all berths are included in your booking or whether individual berths are assigned. Use the exact class wording shown in the current reservation system.

Push-back or bunk class

The Administration groups push-back or bunk-class travel under air-conditioned seating. Those are not necessarily the same physical arrangement.

Check the exact class, berth or seat shown for the chosen vessel. Do not rely on a photo from another ship.

Onboard information published by the Administration

The How to Reach page says a doctor is available on call onboard. It also specifically mentions comfortable air-conditioned seating on MV Amindivi and MV Minicoy.

The site does not expand those statements into a fixed onboard-facility list. Food service, accessibility, charging, bedding, luggage storage and cabin facilities should be confirmed for the selected sailing when they matter to your trip.

Choosing a class

Compare:

  • the exact seat or berth arrangement
  • overnight comfort required by the traveller
  • mobility and health needs
  • number and age of passengers
  • baggage instructions
  • current fare
  • cancellation conditions

A higher class does not solve a route mismatch. Confirm the destination, permit and accommodation before paying for the cabin.
