Lakshadweep Ship Departure Ports: Verification Guide
Check the actual Lakshadweep ship departure port before booking. A ticket counter in Kochi, Beypore or Mangalore does not prove a sailing.

The Lakshadweep Administration’s How to Reach page identifies Kochi as the tourism gateway and describes passenger ships operating between Kochi and the islands.
Its separate ticket-counter directory lists offices in Kochi, Gandhi Nagar, Kozhikode at Beypore, Mangalore and several islands. A place having a ticket counter does not automatically mean a passenger ship departs from that place on your date.
What the official pages establish
The sources reviewed establish that:
- Kochi is identified as the tourism gateway.
- Passenger-ship travel between Kochi and Lakshadweep is described.
- The Administration maintains ticketing contacts in several mainland and island locations.
- The current reservation result must be used for a specific sailing.
They do not establish a dependable year-round tourist timetable from every city with a counter.
Beypore and Mangalore searches
The ticket-counter directory names a Lakshadweep Shipping Office at Beypore and a Lakshadweep Communication Centre at Old Mangalore Port.
Those office listings prove that ticketing contacts exist. They do not, by themselves, prove a passenger departure, destination, frequency or visitor availability.
Check the origin shown in the live reservation result before building a Beypore or Mangalore itinerary.
Goa and Mumbai claims
The current Lakshadweep Administration How to Reach page reviewed on 18 August 2026 does not identify Goa or Mumbai as the tourism gateway for its passenger ships.
A private cruise product is not the same as an Administration passenger ticket. Verify the operator, exact itinerary, island call, permit responsibility and booking conditions directly with the current operator source.
This page does not publish a Goa-to-Lakshadweep or Mumbai-to-Lakshadweep passenger route without current primary evidence.
How to verify the boarding point
- Open the current booking source from a Lakshadweep Administration page.
- Select the intended sector and date.
- Read the origin shown for that sailing.
- Check the ticket’s reporting or embarkation instructions.
- Confirm the location again before arranging a local transfer.
- Keep the Administration counter contact for the relevant port.
Do not assume that “Kochi” means any jetty in the city. Use the location stated for the particular booking.
