Reconfirm before booking. A city-to-Agatti route page does not prove a non-stop flight or availability for every date. Check the complete live itinerary before paying.

Start with the final Lakshadweep island, not the mainland city name. Then work backwards through Agatti Airport or a verified passenger-ship route.

Two workable planning shapes

Fly to Agatti

Search the complete itinerary from your city to Agatti. Check whether the result is non-stop or includes a mainland connection.

The Lakshadweep Administration identifies Agatti as the only airport in the islands. If the stay is elsewhere, add a separately confirmed island transfer.

Position to Kochi

Kochi is the gateway named in the Administration’s general How to Reach page. It can be relevant for a Kochi to Agatti flight or a passenger-ship plan.

Do not book a positioning ticket until the Lakshadweep sector, stay and return are confirmed.

What the current Administration page names

The Port, Shipping & Aviation page updated on 30 July 2026 gives this dated snapshot:

Mainland originWhat the Administration statesWhat to verify now
KochiAlliance Air and IndiGo between Kochi and Agatti, described as dailyActual date, airline, flight number, fare terms and return
BengaluruIndiGo between Bengaluru and AgattiWhether the selected date is non-stop and available
GoaFLY91 between Goa and AgattiAirport, date, operating flight and return

Schedules can change after an official information page is updated. Use the airline result for the actual date.

Mumbai to Lakshadweep

The current Administration aviation page reviewed does not name Mumbai as a direct Agatti gateway.

IndiGo maintains a Mumbai to Agatti route page. That supports checking the route on the airline’s own site, but it does not prove a non-stop flight for every date.

Check:

  • any connecting airport;
  • total elapsed time;
  • baggage transfer;
  • whether all sectors share one booking;
  • return availability;
  • Agatti onward transfer.

Bengaluru to Lakshadweep

The current Administration page specifically names Bengaluru to Agatti service by IndiGo. This is stronger evidence than a generic route aggregator.

Still verify the exact operating date, flight number and return. If the final island is not Agatti, connect the booking to the island transfer before payment.

Delhi to Lakshadweep

The current Administration aviation page reviewed does not name Delhi as a direct Agatti gateway.

IndiGo maintains a Delhi to Agatti route page. Check the live result for the complete itinerary and whether it includes one or more connections. Do not treat the route-page heading as proof of a non-stop service.

Chennai and other origins

For Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata and other cities, use a live airline search to Agatti. If no suitable through itinerary appears, compare a positioning sector to Kochi with the confirmed Lakshadweep flight or ship.

This guide does not create a separate page for each city because the operational decision is the same:

  1. Is the itinerary actually available?
  2. Is it non-stop or connecting?
  3. Does the baggage move through?
  4. Does the Agatti arrival meet the confirmed island transfer?
  5. Does the return chain work?
  6. Does the permit match the dates and islands?

Flight or passenger ship?

A mainland city search can lead to either:

  • a flight itinerary ending at Agatti; or
  • a separate journey to Kochi followed by a passenger ship.

These are not interchangeable bookings. Passenger ships use their own booking, reporting, class and cancellation process. Start with the ships hub before arranging a connection.

Complete route checklist

  • Final island and accommodation
  • Entry permit process
  • Mainland departure city
  • Every flight or positioning sector
  • Agatti arrival, if flying
  • Onward and return island transfer
  • Passenger ship booking, if applicable
  • Return to the mainland
  • Baggage conditions
  • Cancellation and missed-connection responsibility

Use the flights guide for Agatti planning and the Kochi flight guide for the current gateway route.

The cheapest-looking first sector is not useful if the island transfer or return cannot be confirmed.

Common questions

How do I reach Lakshadweep from Mumbai or Delhi?

Search a complete live itinerary to Agatti and check whether it is non-stop or connecting. The current Administration page does not identify Mumbai or Delhi as direct Agatti gateways.

Can I fly from Bengaluru to Lakshadweep?

The Administration's aviation page updated on 30 July 2026 states that IndiGo operates between Bengaluru and Agatti. Verify the flight for your exact date.

Should I travel to Kochi first?

Kochi is the gateway named in the Administration's general route guidance and is also the mainland starting point for passenger-ship planning. Whether you need to position there depends on the live flight or ship itinerary for your dates.

Why is there one page for several cities?

The planning method is the same for most mainland origins. One consolidated guide avoids thin city pages and keeps changing routes, permits and island-transfer checks in one place.
