Lakshadweep Emergency Contacts: Build an Offline Sheet

Use current Administration directories to save island, medical, disaster, transport and accommodation contacts before travelling.

Reconfirm before booking

Names and numbers can change. Reopen the official directories close to departure and replace saved details rather than relying on this page as a static phone book.

On this page

An emergency page becomes stale when it copies phone numbers and is never updated. Build a short offline sheet from current official directories and the providers responsible for your actual trip.

Sources reviewed on 3 September 2026. The Administration pages reviewed show updates dated 27 August 2026.

Start with the official directories

The Lakshadweep Administration publishes:

  • a disaster-management page with island and control contacts;
  • a hospital directory with facilities by island;
  • a Health Services page;
  • a ship-ticketing counter directory;
  • and the Port, Shipping and Aviation department contact.

Open the live page close to departure. Save the link and the relevant details with the date checked.

Build the sheet by responsibility

Island and accommodation

Record the accommodation reception and the named local contact for arrival, transfer and after-hours help. Ask which number should be used when the normal reception is unavailable.

Medical

Use the official hospital directory to identify the facility for the booked island. If the traveller needs a particular service, contact the facility before travel. A directory category does not prove that staff, medicines, diagnostics or transport are available at a particular time.

Disaster and administration

Save the relevant island contact from the Administration’s current disaster-management page. Do not copy the full table into a permanent note because officers and numbers can change.

Transport

Save the operating carrier, ticket reference and disruption contact for every sector. If travelling by ship, use the official ticketing-counter directory for the relevant counter and retain the actual ticket details.

Mainland relay

Choose a trusted person who has the itinerary, provider details and copies of the essential booking references. This is a personal contingency step, not an official requirement.

What the offline sheet should contain

Keep one page with:

  • traveller names and relevant health information;
  • final island and accommodation;
  • permit reference;
  • each transport booking reference;
  • stay, transfer and package contacts;
  • relevant official island and medical contacts;
  • assistance arrangements;
  • insurer contact and policy reference, if applicable;
  • and one mainland relay contact.

Protect sensitive information. Share it only with people who need it.

Keep disruption separate from emergency

A delayed pickup, cancelled transport sector or room problem should first go to the responsible provider. A health or safety emergency may need the relevant official contact. Label the sheet so another traveller can quickly choose the right number.

Recheck before leaving

Open every official directory and provider message again close to departure. Replace changed details and keep the sheet available without relying on mobile data.

Use the medical planning guide for facility questions and the travel checklist for the complete pre-departure sequence.

Questions

Where can I find official Lakshadweep emergency contacts?

The Administration publishes a disaster-management page with island contacts and a separate hospital directory. Use the live pages because names and numbers can change.

Should I copy all numbers from an old travel article?

No. Save only the contacts relevant to the booked island and route, directly from current official and provider sources. Record the date checked.

What provider contacts should I save?

Save the stay, transfer, package seller, operating carrier, mainland contact and any assistance or medical contact confirmed for the trip.

Does a hospital-directory listing guarantee emergency care?

No. It identifies a facility category and contact, not current staff, services, medicines, hours or emergency transport.
