Make the dates and occupancy identical

Prices cannot be compared if one quote is for:

different travel dates;
one traveller instead of two;
a different number of nights;
a different room format;
a members-only or conditional offer;
room-only instead of a meal-inclusive plan.

Ask both providers to quote the same inputs.

Add the final-island cost

For an island stay, include every required connection after the mainland sector. The room price may not include:

the transfer to the final island;
the return transfer;
waiting accommodation between connections;
baggage or handling conditions;
permit assistance.

Do not calculate a transfer price yourself. Use the provider’s current written amount and state what it covers.

Separate government charges from provider fees

The official ePermit portal is the source for government application charges. A hotel or package provider may publish a separate permit-assistance charge.

Ask for the two lines separately:

official government amount;
provider assistance or service amount.

Do not describe a combined provider quote as the official permit fee.

Read the rate conditions

A lower rate may have stricter payment, change or cancellation conditions. Record:

payment deadline;
refundable or non-refundable status;
cancellation window;
change conditions;
no-show treatment;
what happens if a connected transfer cannot operate.
